D.J. Moore and Amari Cooper are two wide receivers that fantasy footballers will want to keenly observe.
Each man is just one-third of their respective monstrous trios (the Chicago Bears have Moore, Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen, while the Cleveland Browns have Cooper, Elijah Moore, and Jerry Jeudy) who are expected to accumulate thousands of receiving yards. But which man is the more solid investment?

By all accounts, D.J. Moore had a fantastic 2023 season. He set career-highs in receptions (96), receiving yards (1,364) and touchdowns (eight), helping improve the Bears from a dismal 3-14 to a respectable 7-10 – something to build on as they welcome the highly-touted Caleb Williams under center.
But if his first opponents of the year are any indication, he may have some competition.
The Tennessee Titans are expected to throw the entire might of their secondary at him and the rest of the trio – a group that boasts L'Jarius Sneed and Amani Hooker, among others.
Is Amari Cooper a good fantasy pick in Week 1?
Like Moore, Amari Cooper also set a career-high in receiving yards in 2023 (1,250). He was also a critical part of the Cleveland Browns' return to the playoffs – just the second time in four seasons.
There are, however, questions regarding his potential performance. Will the returning Deshaun Watson be healthy and good enough to let him continue his top form? How much of his time and performance will Jerry Jeudy eat away at?
All these questions abound as he prepares to face a Dallas Cowboys secondary that will welcome back Trevon Diggs. Even with the loss of fellow All-Pro and Pro Bowler Daron Bland, he still has a strong supporting cast to work with in Jourdan Lewis, Malik Hooker, Donovan Wilson, and nickelback/linebacker hybrid Markquese Bell.
D.J. Moore or Amari Cooper: Who should I start in Fantasy Football Week 1?
The battle is close, but Cooper wins according to Sportskeeda's Sit/Start matchup tool.
Still, predicting both wideouts to have big numbers against strong secondaries is something that should entice any fantasy player to draft them high. Both are high-profile players who have much on their shoulders.
