Dallas Goedert has been in the spotlight for the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of their Week 18 game against the New York Giants. The tight end has been cleared to return to practice this week from the injured reserve list, and fans want to know if Goedert will play on Sunday.

As things stand, there is no confirmation on whether Dallas Goedert will play. On Wednesday, the Eagles announced that they opened the 21-day practice window for the tight end.

Goedert suffered a knee injury in Phiily's Week 13 win over the Baltimore Ravens. He was then placed on the Eagles' Injured Reserve list.
After missing four games, Goedert now looks set to return for Philadelphia at an important stage of the team's season. However, his status for Week 18 is still unclear, especially since the Eagles need to integrate him into their 53-man active roster.
Since the Eagles have already sealed their divisional title and qualified for the playoffs, they might not want to risk Goedert against the Giants. Instead, the player could get an extra week of rest before Philly targets the postseason.
The other option would be to allow Goedert to get some reps against New York on Sunday to bring him up to speed with his teammates.
Nonetheless, the Eagles will decide on Goedert's final status after he returns to practice. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni also spoke about the player's potential return on Wednesday.
“Yeah, we'll see, it’s hard to tell, you can't ever really tell,” Sirianni said. “We’ll get him (Goedert) back on the field and doing things, start his window."
This season, Goedert has posted 441 yards and two touchdowns on 38 catches across 11 games. He previously missed three games earlier in the season due to a hamstring injury.
