Dallas Turner is an American football linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL as of 2024. The Minnesota Vikings selected him as the 17th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Turner played college football for the University of Alabama. He concluded his overall collegiate career, he recorded 120 tackles including 58 solo tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, and 22.5 sacks. Taking into account his performance during the 2023 season, he earned recognition. Notably, he earned the Consensus All-American honor, secured the title of SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, and earned a spot on the First-team All-SEC.
Before joining Alabama, he represented his school team by playing high school football at both American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida, and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a junior, he concluded his season with 74 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, and three forced fumbles and his outstanding performance earned him the title of the area Defensive Player of the Year. As a senior, he transferred to St. Thomas Aquinas High School and finished his season with 36 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks. He graduated with a five-star recruit rating and received offers from several football programs such as Florida, Georgia, Michigan, and Oklahoma.
