In 2022, he played a pivotal role in 12 games with nine starts, leading the team in receptions (70), receiving yards (890), and touchdowns (8). His outstanding performance earned him accolades such as Pac-12 All-Conference first-team, PFF, Bleacher Report, and AP All-America. He topped all FBS tight ends in receiving yards (890) and yards per game (77.3), ranking second in receiving scores.
