Dalton Schultz is a professional American footballer who plays in the National Football League as a tight end for the Houston Texans. His professional career in the NFL started in the year 2018 where he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of the NFL draft of 2018.

After being selected by the Cowboys Schultz signed a deal with them for four years. He was signed by the Cowboys to improve their tight end position after the retirement of Jason Witten and James Hanna. In the 2019 season, Schultz had a brilliant season where in the following season he played 16 games and finished the 2019 season with one reception for six yards and one kickoff return for five yards.

In the 2020 season, Schultz took over the starting tight end position. He had a career-altering season in 2022 where he continued to showcase excellent performances one after another and in a match against the Atlanta Falcons he caught nine passes for 88 yards and the first career touchdown reception of his NFL career. HE continued his brilliant performance for the Cowboys in the upcoming seasons where in the 2021 season he finished with 78 receptions, 808 yards, and 8 touchdowns. In 2023 Schultz signed a new deal with the Houston Texans.

Before his journey in the NFL began Schultz used to play college football with Stanford. In 2015 he finished his freshman year by catching 10 passes for 121 yards and one touchdown. He continued his excellent performance throughout his college career and in 2017 he finished his junior year with catching 22 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns. After a successful junior year, Schultz announced that he would not be participating in his junior year and then he entered in the NFL draft of 2018.

Dalton Schultz was a part of the Dallas Cowboys for over 5 years in his time with them he has shown everyone that he belongs on the big stage in the NFL.
