Anytime any sporting event has two siblings going up against each other, the contest is all the more enjoyable not only for the siblings but also for the fans who want to see which one outplays the other. In the case of the NFL, there have been and still are quite a few pairs of brothers that have made their name on the turf. Probably the most famous pair is Peyton and Eli Manning who shared the stage for over a decade in the NFL.

Even in the current day and age, some famous pairs of brothers include the Kelce brothers - Jason and Travis, the Bosa brothers - Joey and Nick, and the Diggs brothers - Stefon and Trevon amongst many more.

Similarly, the year 2022 was doubly special for the Cook family as another pair of brothers took the field at the same time when Dalvin Cook and his brother James Cook met in a game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills.

Dalvin Cook Brothers

Dalvin Cook, the six-year veteran in the NFL has many siblings, six to be precise. Out of his six siblings, he has three brothers named James Cook, Demarcus Cook, and DeAndre Burnett. Cook also has three sisters named Daneisha Cook, Jameisha Cook, and Jamiya Cook.

James Cook is the only other sibling of Dalvin Cook who is playing in the NFL. James was selected in the 2022 NFL Draft as pick number 63 in the second round by the Buffalo Bills. In his rookie year for the Bills, Cook started as the backup running back behind Devin Singletary. He rushed for just over 500 yards from 89 attempts, averaging 5.7 yards per carry and had 2 rushing touchdowns.

The 24-year-old native of Miami has praised his brother Dalvin for being the guiding light in his life and helping him with everything related to football. Both brothers share a close bond with each other.

Demarcus Cook

Demarcus Cook is the half-brother of both Dalvin and James Cook. He has had a troubled life and he was even arrested in mid-2022. Demarcus Cook was charged with 1st-degree murder after he was found at the scene of the crime with a gunshot wound. It was reported that Cook had exchanged shots with the victim, Isaiah Hernandez.

When the police arrived at the scene, Hernandez was unresponsive and all efforts to revive him failed. He was pronounced dead once he was taken to the hospital.

Although DeAndre Burnett does not share the same surname as the Cook brothers, he is still their half-brother. He is the only one in the family who has taken up the sport of basketball.

Older than Dalvin by a year, Burnett played college basketball at the University of Miami for one season before he transferred to Ole Miss.

Going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Burnett looked for opportunities abroad and played for the Leicester Riders for one year in the British Basketball League and then signed with Kharkivski Sokoly in November 2019 in the Ukrainian Basketball Superleague before calling it quits on February 24, 2020.
