Following an inspiring recovery from a cardiac arrest, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is poised to trademark two phrases. Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field during a Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals, which was later canceled.
After a few days in the hospital, he was discharged, but not after receiving tons of support, love and prayers from everyone across the globe.
Now, he's filed for two trademarks. According to Josh Gerben of Gerben Law, the trademarks are for the phrases "Did we win" and "Three is back". "Did we win" were the first words Hamlin spoke when he was resuscitated.
The second phrase refers to his jersey number, which quickly became a bestseller and an easy way for members of the NFL to show their support for him.

In Week 18, many players donned his jersey and players who already wore the number three met pre-game to pray for the safety.
Hamlin now plans on selling merchandise with the two phrases, along with performing motivational speeches and offering athletic services.
He plans to use the proceeds from his toy drive fundraiser, which raised around $8.6 million in GoFundMe donations.
Given the nature of his injury and the potential risk of it occurring again, it's not out of the question to think Hamlin's playing days might be over. If so, it appears he'll be able to make a seamless transition into one of the fields he plans on using his trademarks in.
Will Damar Hamlin re-join the Buffalo Bills?
The Buffalo Bills have a very important game coming up. They will begin their pursuit of a Super Bowl against the Miami Dolphins in the wildcard round.
They will be without Damar Hamlin, though. Despite him being discharged, he probably won't play again this season.
He will likely be on the sidelines and in the locker room with his teammates as they try to run the table and come away with the Lombardi trophy.
