The Chicago Bears’ running back, D’Andre Swift, has earned his first Pro Bowl selection in the 2023 Pro Bowl games with his remarkable performance throughout the season. Further, he recorded over 1,000 rushing yards in a season for the first time in his overall NFL career in 2023. He played the 2023 season with the Philadelphia Eagles and, in March 2024, signed a three-year deal with the Bears. He went to St. Joseph's Preparatory School, after which he decided to continue his football journey at the University of Georgia.

The Detroit Lions selected Swift as the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Initially, he spent three seasons with the Lions, performing with consistency. But it wasn’t until his 2023 season with the Eagles that he showcased his true potential, recording a career-high 175 yards and a touchdown in a game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2. The outstanding performance earned him the title of NFC Offensive Player of the Week and eventually secured his first Pro Bowl selection.

D'Andre Swift College

D’Andre Swift attended the University of Georgia and committed to play college football for the Georgia Bulldogs, competing from 2017 to 2019. Over the period of three seasons with the Bulldogs, he played in 43 games, totaling 440 carries for 2,885 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns, while 73 receptions for 666 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.

D'Andre Swift College Career

In 2017, D’Andre Swift was positioned as the third running back behind Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. As a freshman, he recorded 81 carries for 618 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, he caught 17 receptions for 153 receiving yards and one touchdown in 15 games.

In 2018, during his sophomore season, he was utilized both as a running back and a receiver. Throughout the season, he performed exceptionally well, achieving three consecutive games with over 100 rushing yards. In a 35-28 loss against Alabama in the SEC championship, he recorded 16 carries for 75 rushing yards and secured a touchdown, along with an additional one receiving touchdown and six receptions for 63 receiving yards. He concluded his season with 163 carries for 1,049 rushing yards, securing 10 touchdowns. Additionally, he made 32 receptions for 297 yards and three receiving touchdowns. His performance earned him recognition on the second-team All-SEC.

Swift surpassed his own performance as a junior in 2019 by achieving five games with over 100 yards and maintaining a four-game streak with at least one rushing touchdown. Concluding his final collegiate career with a total of 14 games, he recorded 196 carries for 1,218 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns. Additionally, he caught 24 receptions for 216 receiving yards and secured one receiving touchdown. In 2019, he was honored with a first-team All-SEC selection. After which, he decided to forego his senior year for the 2020 NFL Draft.
