Daniel Jones is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the New York Giants in the National Football League. Jones was drafted as the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. Before coming to the NFL, he played for Duke University.

In his first three seasons with the Giants, Jones has shown flashes of how great he can be but he has also had some costly mistakes. In 2022, he threw for 3,027 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Jones is a young quarterback who still has a lot to prove and can most certainly get better in the upcoming years.

Charlotte, North Carolina, was the birthplace of Daniel Jones. Daniel is the oldest of four. His parents, Steve and Becca Jones, are financial advisors and stay-at-home mom respectively. Daniel has Bates (his younger brother), Ruthie and Becca, (his sisters).

Daniel excelled as a quarterback at Charlotte Latin School. He made second-team all-state as a junior and led his team to the state championship. Despite these figures, Rivals.com did not rank Jones. Jones walked on at Duke University after committing to Princeton University for football.

Duke backup quarterback Jones played three seasons. Daniel finally started in 2019. He led the Blue Devils to a 7-6 record and a bowl game. Jones was ACC Rookie of the Year, including a Maxwell Award semifinalist.

New York Giants selected Daniel Jones sixth overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. He was the Giants' first first-round quarterback since Eli Manning in 2004.

Jones' first three NFL seasons were mixed, he made blunders but showed genius at times. He is a young quarterback learning the game and has a chance to be an NFL star. So the best thing the fans can do is be patient with Daniel for now.
