Daniel Jones is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings as of the 2024 NFL season. The New York Giants selected him with the sixth overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In 2024, Jones entered his sixth NFL season with the Giants, however, he was waived by the team in November. Subsequently, he was signed to the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad. As of Week 12, 2024, Jones has recorded 70 touchdowns, 47 interceptions, and 14,582 passing yards in his NFL career with the Giants (via Pro Football Reference).

Before entering the NFL, Jones played football at Duke University from 2015 to 2019. He was a two-year team captain (2017–18) and won Duke’s Most Valuable Player award twice, in 2016 and 2018 (via Duke University’s official website). In January 2019, he was named MVP of the Reese’s Senior Bowl after leading the North team to a 34–24 win. According to Sports Reference, he finished his collegiate career with 8,201 passing yards, 52 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions. During high school, he attended Charlotte Latin High School.
