Davante Adams established his elite fantasy football wide receiver status during his time with Aaron Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers. He ranked among the top 15 players five times in his final six seasons with the team, with three of those being WR3 finishes or better.
He then switched teams to the Las Vegas Raiders, where he finished as the WR2 and WR11 in two seasons.
His ability to put up massive numbers despite his team and quarterback situation has made Adams one of the most reliable wide receivers in fantasy football. He has demonstrated an extremely safe floor, making him a strong selection in fantasy drafts for the 2024 season.
Davante Adams 2024 fantasy outlook, ADP and 2023 stats
In his second season with the Raiders, Adams turned in another strong fantasy performance during the 2023 season. His output included 103 receptions on 175 targets for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns.
He ranked as the overall WR11 while recording his fourth consecutive season with at least 150 targets and 100 receptions.
His incredible demonstration of consistency and dominance has resulted in Adams being ranked as the WR10 and 18th overall player for the 2024 fantasy football season, according to his current ADP.
Is Davante Adams a good pick in fantasy football this year?
One of the most important factors that makes Adams one of the best wide receivers to draft in fantasy football is his proven ability to put up massive numbers, despite his quarterback situation. His four finishes among the top-three fantasy wide receivers have come with three different primary quarterbacks: Aaron Rodgers, Derek Carr, and Aidan O'Connell.
The Raiders will enter the 2024 NFL season with a new quarterback for the third consecutive year after naming Gardner Minshew as their starter. This would be an alarming situation for most wide receivers, but it shouldn't affect Adams' overall outlook. He has overcome this same scenario several times, so he is as good of a pick this year as he has been in recent seasons.
Where should you draft Davante Adams this year?
Managers can target him in the second round of their fantasy drafts as a solid WR1 for their rosters. His combination of elite fantasy history and consistently massive volume make him a trustworthy option in the early rounds.
Sportskeeda's Who Should I Draft tool recommends selecting Adams in favor of some other reliable veterans, such as Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel. He is also the preferred choice over one of last year's biggest breakout players in fantasy football, Nico Collins.
Not many players have a better combination of a safe floor and a high ceiling than Adams does, making him a great pick at his current ADP.
