After three average outings in his first three games as a New York Jet, Davante Adams finally had an impressive outing for his new team against the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football last week. The veteran wide receiver finished the game with seven catches on 11 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown, his first for the Jets.

Adams' stellar display helped the Jets beat the Texans 21-13 and end their five-game losing streak. However, the win over Houston is only a small step in the right direction for New York.

The win saw them improve to 3-6, which was a relief, but they remain well off the pace in the race for a spot in the playoffs. They needed to continue their winning ways on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals to improve their odds of playing in the postseason.

The Jets were banking on Adams to deliver another massive performance to help them win their second game on the trot and stay in the hunt for a spot in the playoffs. Here's how he performed:

Davante Adams stats vs. Cardinals in Week 10

Davante Adams had a mundane day at the office against the Arizona Cardinals. Here are his numbers:

  • Carries: 0
  • Rushing yards: 0
  • Rushing touchdowns: 0
  • Targets: 13
  • Receptions: 6
  • Receiving yards: 31
  • Receiving touchdowns: 0

The veteran wide receiver had a dismal outing in the first half and did not record a single catch. He fared much better in the third and fourth quarters, but his overall stat line was still mediocre.

Adams struggled to get open and everything he did, the play was either blown up by a sack or a pass to him was blocked off by a defensive back. It was a tough day at the office for the Jets, who could muster only 207 yards of offense.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished the game with only 151 passing yards in a day to forget for him and his team. The 31-6 loss to the Cardinals saw the Jets drop to 3-7 in what was another blow to their dwindling odds of earning a playoff berth.
