Johnson earned $22,802,122 with the Cardinals, $15,674,265 with the Houston Texans and $136,222 with the New Orleans Saints. He spent five seasons in Arizona, two in Houston and one in New Orleans.

David Johnson enjoyed an eight-year NFL career

Following a stellar college career with Northern Iowa, David Johnson didn't waste time adding his name to the record books. He became the first player in NFL history to score a rushing touchdown, receiving touchdown and kickoff return touchdown within the first two games of a career.

Johnson enjoyed the best year of his career in Year Two, leading the league in yards from scrimmage (2,118) and total touchdowns (20). Thus, it wasn't surprising when he earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl nods in his spectacular year two.

The rest of his time with the Cardinals was decent but unspectacular. Johnson was traded to the Houston Texans in 2020 and played there for two seasons before moving to the New Orleans Saints for just one season.

The Northern Iowa icon retires from the NFL with 4,071 yards rushing and 2,805 yards receiving. He also added 39 rushing touchdowns, 18 receiving touchdowns and one kickoff return touchdown.
