David Njoku is a big piece of the Cleveland Browns' offense. The veteran tight end made his first Pro Bowl last season after a career year in which he set personal bests for receptions, yards, and touchdowns.
Heading into the 2024 season, the Browns were hopeful that Njoku would be able to continue his success from last season. He did so in the Browns' season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
Njoku caught four balls for 44 yards including a 29-yard catch. However, he would end up missing Cleveland's next three games.

In the Cleveland Browns' season opener against the Dallas Cowboys, David Njoku suffered a high-ankle sprain. He was week-to-week with his injury, missing three games as a result.
Njoku finally returned in Week 5 against the Washington Commanders. He had one catch for 14 yards as the Browns lost, 34-13.
Returning from his ankle injury, the injury bug continued to hit Njoku as he suffered a knee injury that forced him to leave Sunday's game.
David Njoku was absent from the Browns' team practice on Wednesday, which should concern fantasy managers. Coach Kevin Stefanksi labeled Njoku's injury as day-to-day. He will likely need to practice a little bit in the team's Thursday and Friday practices (at least one) to have a good chance of playing this Sunday.
The Browns' offense has struggled, and not having Njoku for most of the season hasn't helped. They're currently last in yards per game (239.4), fourth-lowest in scoring (79), and have the third-worst passing offense (142.8)
The Cleveland Browns will look to break a three-game skid this weekend
The Cleveland Browns are currently 1-4 amid a three-game losing streak. Cleveland had close back-to-back losses to the New York Giants (21-15) and the Las Vegas Raiders (20-16), before being blown out by the Washington Commanders 34-13 in Week 5.
Looking to snap their skid and get out of the funk that they're in, the Browns will take on the Philadelphia Eagles, who are 2-2 and fresh off a bye.
Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET and will be played at the Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia, Pennslyvania. The Eagles are currently big 9.5-point favorites.
