David Njoku and Kyle Pitts both rank inside the top 10 fantasy football tight ends to target this year, according to their ADP. They both profile as potential starters on most fantasy rosters, but it's fair to wonder which one makes for a better overall pick.
Here's where their fantasy outlooks currently stand ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
David Njoku vs Kyle Pitts: ADP and fantasy outlook
David Njoku ADP, stats and outlook
David Njoku turned in a career-best fantasy football performance last year in his seventh season with the Cleveland Browns. He finished as the overall TE6, improving on his previous career-high of TE9.

He also set new career records in just about every receiving category, including his 81 receptions on 123 targets for 882 yards and six touchdowns.
The tight end proved to be a valuable contributor to the Browns' offense as his overall production trailed only Amari Cooper in their passing game.
He did so without Deshaun Watson in the lineup for 11 games last season. So, with a potentially better quarterback situation this year, he could realistically improve his output even more.
One potential challenge for Njoku to overcome this year is the addition of Jerry Jeudy, who could take away from some of his passing targets. He still makes for a valuable tight end option in fantasy drafts this year, currently ranking as the TE9 and 72nd overall player to target, according to his ADP.
Kyle Pitts ADP, stats and outlook
Kyle Pitts took a step forward in fantasy football last year, but he is yet to return to his breakout rookie season. He has recorded finishes of TE7, TE33, and TE14 in his three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons so far.
He has done so despite suffering through some of the worst quarterback play in the entire NFL, including in bounce-back season last year.
The Falcons' quarterback situation is no longer expected to be an issue for them after they made a bold move to acquire Kirk Cousins during the offseason.
The addition of a top-level passer could prove to be extremely valuable to Pitts' fantasy outlook. The fact that the team made no significant improvements to their pass-catchers further suggests a promising workload for Pitts.
If the talented tight end can capitalize on a much better overall offensive situation this year, he is an ideal candidate to turn in a breakout season. He is one of the most attractive players to target at his position during 2024 fantasy football drafts, ranking as the TE7 and 63rd overall player, according to his current ADP.
David Njoku vs Kyle Pitts: Who should you pick in 2024 fantasy football?
According to Sportskeeda's Who Should I Draft tool, Kyle Pitts makes for a better pick in 2024 fantasy football than David Njoku. This valuable tool allows managers to compare fantasy projections for any players, helping them to make better decisions in their drafts. In this case, Pitts is given the edge as the preferred tight end to target.
Njoku is projected to record slightly more receptions and touchdowns this year, but Pitts' superior yardage expectations make him the suggested pick.
Both tight ends are expected to be picked around the sixth round in most drafts based on their ADP, depending upon the league format and scoring settings. While they both have favorable situations for the 2024 fantasy football season, Pitts' upside wins the battle.
