NFL Week 16 action will begin Thursday night at SoFi Stadium with a matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chargers are coming off what may have been their worst loss of the season, a 40-17 setback to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15, going into this Thursday Night Football game.

On the other side, the Broncos also didn't particularly play well in their last game, but that didn't reflect on the scoreboard, as Denver saw out a 31-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

With a win on Thursday night, the Broncos, who have now won four straight games, can secure a postseason berth. Let's see if the AFC Giants will miss any key player due to injuries in Week 16.

Broncos injury report for Week 16 TNF

The Denver Broncos issued their second injury report of the week on Tuesday ahead of their crucial game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night.

The team's practice on Tuesday was a walkthrough, just like on Monday, so the coaches' assessment of the injuries was likewise based on what they thought would have occurred if they had a real session.

The Broncos, however, designated cornerback Patrick Surtain II as a full participant for the second consecutive practice on Tuesday despite the ankle problem he suffered last weekend.

DT D.J. Jones (finger), RB Jaleel McLaughlin (quad) and CB Riley Moss (knee) were all upgraded to limited on Tuesday after Denver classified them all as DNP on Monday.

The only player on the Broncos' injury list with two DNPs this week is defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers.

Pat Surtain II injury update

In Week 15, Patrick Surtain left the game against the Indianapolis Colts because of a small strain on his ankle. The Broncos decided to keep him in the game despite his original injury, which caused it to worsen a few plays later.

He walked gingerly off the field with the assistance of medics later in the game. Despite the star cornerback's ankle issue, the Broncos labeled him as a full participant on Monday and Tuesday's projected injury reports.

Riley Moss injury update

Cornerback Riley Moss began the week as a DNP on the Denver Broncos' injury report on Monday due to a knee ailment. On Tuesday, however, the team changed his status to limited participation.

Both Kris Abrams-Draine and Damarri Mathis are potential replacements for Moss if he is unable to shake off the injury before kickoff on Thursday night.

Jaleel McLaughlin injury update

It's unclear if Jaleel McLaughlin will be able to play against the Chargers on Thursday after leaving the Week 15 game against the Indianapolis Colts early due to a quad problem.

The running back's classification as "limited" on Tuesday is a positive development, considering he was an estimated nonparticipant in Monday's walkthrough.
