As things stand, Derek Carr is listed as doubtful to face the Chargers in Week 8. Nonetheless, reports suggest that the Saints quarterback won't play on Sunday unless there is an emergency.

Furthermore, Carr did not participate in any practice sessions during the week either. Since it's highly unlikely that Carr will suit up against the Chargers, fantasy managers should avoid picking him in Week 8.
Spencer Riddler is expected to start as the New Orleans quarterback in Week 8. Jake Haener will serve as his backup, and Carr will fill in as the emergency third quarterback.
