Deshaun Watson is a professional quarterback in American football who currently plays for the Cleveland Browns franchise in the NFL. He first entered the league in 2017 and was selected by the Houston Texans as their franchise quarterback. Watson got off to an impeccable start in his rookie year. He was thrust into action early on after the Texans benched their starting quarterback. Back-to-back dominant performances earned Watson multiple rookie records and accolades.

Watson’s dominance with the Houston Texans continued in the next couple of seasons as he was able to lead the franchise to the playoffs in 2018 and 2019. Deshaun’s best season for the Texans, however, came in 2020 even though the team did not perform well at all. With a 4-12 record, the Texans were nowhere near the level that they were a few seasons ago, but Watson who threw for 4,823 yards at an average of 8.9 yards per throw and 33 passing touchdowns had his best season statistically with the team.

Before the 2021 season got underway, Watson was annoyed with the team management as there were numerous changes in the front office as well as with the coaching staff. As a result, he demanded a trade, but the Texans were not ready to give in until Deshaun was hit by sexual harassment allegations. Eventually, after ruling him out for the entire season due to the ongoing off-field issues, the Texans ended up trading him to the Cleveland Browns before the 2022 season.

Deshaun Watson Age

Deshaun Watson was born on September 14, 1995, in the city of Gainesville, Florida to parents Deann Watson and Don Richardson. As of now, Deshaun is 27 years old. The young quarterback from Florida first came into the NFL when he was only 21 years old.

Before his journey in the professional league began, Watson showed a lot of promise in the game. This is evidenced by the fact that his head coach Bruce Miller at Gainesville High School was looking for a rising junior year player to lead his spread offense, but eventually handed the reins to Watson who was only in his freshman year. Watson had a mind-boggling performance for his high school where he ended up setting numerous state records which included overall yards, passing yards and touchdowns to go along with an inspiring running game.

Watson then off to Clemson, further continued his growth as a player where he had an impressive passing and running game on his way to several accolades. Since a very young age, Watson has shown that he has the capability and the desire to succeed on the biggest stage of all. Now the only question is whether he can translate all of his talent into a Super Bowl win for him and his team.
