The Miami Dolphins running back De’von Achane is a third-round pick of the NFL Draft 2023. He was born on October 13, 2001, in Missouri City, Texas. Achane was picked in the third round of the 2023 NFL. The Miami Dolphins signed him on a four-year, $5.4 million contract including an almost million-dollar signing bonus.

Achane made his professional debut in August 2023. He got 14 touches and averaged 2.5 yards per attempt. In Week 3 of the 2023 season, Achane also got the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Achane suffered a knee injury during Week 5 and is still getting back to his best. He played in 11 games of the regular season in his rookie year rushing 800 yards and scoring 11 touchdowns.

Achane attended Thurgood Marshall High School and was ranked as a four-star recruit. In his high school career, he had 87 touchdowns and 4795 rushing yards. During his time in high school, Achane also ran track and was the Track & Field Athlete of the Year 2020 at the Texas Gatorade Boys. After receiving offers from half a dozen universities like Alabama, Arkansas and Florida, Achane committed to Texas A&M University in 2019.

Achane played as a backup to Isaiah and played in six games in his freshman year. He managed 43 carries with four touchdowns during the short spell. His role increased in the next year, where he recorded over a thousand yards for the Aggies. Achane is also the MVP of the 2021 Orange Bowl where he put up a match-winning performance. Achane became a starter in his final season in 2022. He recorded a career-high in rushing yards with 1,102.
