De’Von Achane is a rookie American football running back who currently plays for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League. Although, during his rookie 2023 season, Achane received recognition as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 3, delivering a stellar performance against the Denver Broncos, he unfortunately suffered a knee injury in Week 5. It resulted in his placement on the injured reserve, but he successfully recovered and was activated to play again in November 2023.

His football journey began at Thurgood Marshall High School where he started playing high school football. He was ranked as a five-star recruit by Rivals.com and continued his football career at Texas A&M University. He concluded his collegiate career with over 2,000 rushing yards, securing 21 touchdowns, along with an additional 554 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. After playing at Texas A&M from 2020 to 2022, he entered the 2023 NFL Draft and was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the Draft.

He signed a four-year contract valued at $5,437,449 with the Dolphins, which includes a signing bonus of $954,508 and an average annual salary of $1,359,362. The signing bonus is equivalent to the guaranteed amount of the contract.
