Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen was added by the team this offseason to help surround rookie quarterback Caleb Williams with more talent. The Bears acquired Allen in March from the LA Chargers for a 2024 fourth-round pick.

Allen wasn't the only piece the Bears added. They signed free agent running back D'Andre Swift and then drafted WR Rome Odunze with the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Allen made his Bears debut in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. In the game, he had four receptions for 29 yards but left the game due to an injury.

Keenan Allen suffered a heal injury in the Chicago Bears' season opener. As a result, he did not practice last week leading up to the Bears' game against the Houston Texans. Allen didn't play in Week 2.

As the Bears hope to get Allen back for their Week 3 clash against the Indianapolis Colts, they have not received positive news on his status. Coach Matt Eberflus told reporters on Wednesday that Allen would not participate in the team's Wednesday practice and that there's no timetable for his return.

Eberflus also said that starting left guard Teven Jenkins will also miss Wednesday's practice. Both Keenan Allen and Jenkins are questionable to play in Saturday's game.

The game will be broadcast on CBS and fans also have the option of streaming the game on Fubo. As things currently stand, the Colts are one-point home favorites.

The Bears won in their season opener against the Titans and then suffered a Week 2 loss to the Texans on Monday night. On the other hand, the Colts are searching for their first victory, as they suffered losses to the Texans and the Green Bay Packers in the first two weeks of the season.

The Bears are in a competitive NFC North division and are in a three-way tie for second place with the Packers and Detroit Lions. The Colts are in a division with two other 0-2 teams (the Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars), so a win will push them to second place.
