Sean McVay became the youngest NFL head coach to win a Super Bowl when he led the Los Angeles Rams to the championship in 2022. He played college football but didn't continue playing in the big league as his attention turned toward coaching.

McVay played college football with the Miami Redhawks as a receiver for three years. He joined Miami University in 2004 but didn't play for the team in his first year.

In the 2005 season, McVay made six appearances for the Redhawks. He made just one catch for six yards.

During the 2006 season, McVay featured in 12 games for Miami. The wideout recorded 198 yards on 20 receptions but didn't score any touchdowns.

In his final season with the Redhawks, McVay posted 108 yards on 18 catches across eight games. He also rushed for 23 yards on three attempts and earned Miami's Scholar-Athlete Award in 2007.

Notably, McVay changed his position on the gridiron when he went to college. He previously played as a quarterback and a defensive back across four years at Marist School.

After graduating from Miami in 2008 with a B.S. in Health and Sports Studies, Sean McVay joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an offensive assistant. He spent one season with the Buccaneers before serving as a wide receivers coach for then-UFL team Florida Tuskers in 2009.

In the 2010 season, McVay was the offensive assistant for the then-Washington Redskins. He then served as Washinton's tight ends coach until 2013 and then became the team's offensive coordinator for three years.

McVay was appointed as the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams in 2017. He became the youngest head coach in NFL history at just 30 years of age.

Since then, McVay has compiled a 77-49 overall record with the Rams. He led them to Super Bowl glory in February 2022, when LA beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in the big game.
