Mecole Hardman's injury update
According to CBS Sports, Mecole Hardman has logged consecutive "limited participant" tags in this week's training sessions. The veteran wide receiver is dealing with a knee injury leading up to his side's crunch divisional matchup.
The report states that Hardman has been allowed to return from the injured reserve since Jan. 1, 2025. Therefore, Hardman should be expected to play in the postseason and added to the active roster. That makes him a key player to watch during Thursday's training session, as Andy Reid is cautious about rushing a player back onto the field without ensuring their fitness.
Patrick Mahomes' injury update
According to Marca, Patrick Mahomes is in good spirits ahead of the game against the Houston Texans. The three-time Super Bowl MVP is on the injury report as he's been dealing with an ankle injury for the past few weeks.
However, it seems like Mahomes's appearance on the report is merely a precaution. He has been excellent all season and will start in the divisional round, barring any unfortunate occurrences in the lead-up to the game.
Trent McDuffie's injury update
According to CBS Sports, Trent McDuffie was a full participant in both training sessions this week. The cornerback entered the week with a minor knee issue, but that hasn't stopped him from going all out in training.
McDuffie was one of many Kansas City Chiefs players who were rested in Week 18 against the Denver Broncos. This should prepare him to play a significant role for the Chiefs as they aim to make yet another AFC championship game.
Isiah Pacheco's injury update
According to CBS Sports, Isiah Pacheco is set to feature in the AFC divisional round against the Houston Texans. Although the Chiefs' RB1 has been dealing with an injury to his ribs, he's been present since his return from a femur injury in November.
Pacheco participated fully in Tuesday and Wednesday's training sessions. Barring any setbacks, he'll play against the Texans on Saturday.
