NFL HC Power Rankings for Divisional Round

The divisional round of the 2024 NFL playoffs is up next now that wild-card weekend has officially concluded. Five of the six home teams won their games, setting up intriguing matchups between top-ranked teams in this round. While most of the focus will be on the players, the coaches will also play a major role in the outcomes. Here's how all eight stack up in the power rankings.

#8 - Dan Quinn

Dan Quinn has helped to turn the Washington Commanders around in his first year as their coach, along with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. They were the only road team to earn a win last week and will look to do so again in the divisional round.

#7 - DeMeco Ryans

DeMeco Ryans has now advanced to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs in each of his two seasons as the Houston Texans coach. They were eliminated in this round last year, so they are hoping for a better result this time.

#6 - Dan Campbell

Dan Campbell came up just short of a Super Bowl appearance last year with the Detroit Lions. They have been the best team in the NFC all season long this year, so they are currently the favorites to win the conference.

#5 - Nick Sirianni

Nick Sirianni already proved that he is capable of getting his Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl after doing so for the 2022 season. Sirianni and the Eagles were eliminated in the wild-card round last year, but a dominant first-round victory this season makes them contenders once again.

#4 - Sean McDermott

Sean McDermott has helped the Buffalo Bills make it into the playoffs in each of the past six years. He has only once advanced past the divisional round, so he and NFL MVP candidate Josh Allen are hoping for a deeper postseason run.

#3 - John Harbaugh

John Harbaugh has compiled a solid 13-10 career record in the playoffs during his time with the Baltimore Ravens. This includes winning a Super Bowl ring, so he is seeking his second this year, but his first with Lamar Jackson under center.

#2 - Sean McVay

Sean McVay has an excellent 8-4 career playoff record after the LA Rams dominated during wild-card weekend. He has appeared in two Super Bowls and won a ring in one of them, making him one of the most accomplished coaches in the divisional round this year.

#1 - Andy Reid

Andy Reid is clearly the best coach remaining in the NFL playoffs, as he has the second-most postseason wins in NFL history, trailing only Bill Belichick. He has won three Super Bowl rings with the Kansas City Chiefs and currently has an opportunity to be the first team ever to three-peat.
