DJ Moore and Stefon Diggs each rank among the top 40 overall fantasy football players for the 2024 NFL season, according to their ADP (average draft position). They also rank inside the top 20 wide receivers as draft season quickly approaches.

Every player enters a new fantasy football season with a brand-new outlook. As situations change, so do their fantasy values. Moore and Diggs are facing similar challenges this year in stacked offenses with a ton of target competition.

While they both profile as WR2s on most fantasy rosters, here's who makes for a better pick this year.

DJ Moore: ADP, stats and outlook

Moore has finished each of the past five seasons ranked as the WR22 or higher in fantasy football. In his first year with the Chicago Bears last season, he turned in a career-best WR6 finish. This included 96 receptions for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns, setting career highs in all three categories.

His second season with the Bears presents a much different situation for Moore than last year. He will have a new quarterback after the team drafted Caleb Williams to replace Justin Fields.

He also has more competition for targets with the significant offensive additions of Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and D'Andre Swift.

While Moore is still expected to serve as the WR1 for the Bears, his total workload could be affected by their new-look offense. His ADP has taken a bit of a hit because of this, as he now ranks as the 39th overall player and WR19 in fantasy football drafts this year.

Stefon Diggs: ADP, stats and outlook

Stefon Diggs has been one of the most productive fantasy football wide receivers in the entire NFL during his four seasons with the Buffalo Bills, ranking among the top ten players in his position in all four of them.

He exceeded 100 receptions and 150 targets in each of his seasons with the team, totaling 37 touchdowns along the way.

The Bills made a bold move by trading Diggs to the Houston Texans during the offseason, which drastically altered his fantasy outlook. He has had some of the most consistent volume of any wide receiver in fantasy football with the Bills, but he will have considerably more target competition this season. He may not even be the Texans' top receiver, as Nico Collins and Tank Dell both have claims for it.

The new team situation has resulted in Diggs' ADP falling all the way down to the 37th overall player and WR19 in fantasy drafts this year. He still clearly has the upside to outperform his ranking, but he also carries a much lower floor than he has in recent years.

According to Sportskeeda's Who Should I Draft tool, DJ Moore makes for a better pick in 2024 fantasy football drafts than Stefon Diggs. The two star wide receivers carry similar projections this year, including both of them being expected to turn in 85 receptions.

Moore gets the edge due to his higher yardage projections, though his touchdown total is a bit lower than Diggs' projected output.

Managers looking to land Moore or Diggs for their fantasy rosters will likely need to target them around the fourth round of their drafts. They both profile as WR2s on most fantasy rosters this year, despite being in the WR1 range last season.

They both have the upside to outperform their current ADP, but their added task competition this season makes them more risky than usual.
