Edward Oliver is an American football defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills, as of the 2024 NFL season. The Bills selected him with the 9th overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He has made 208 tackles as of the fifth week of the 2024 season, along with 25 sacks. As a rookie, he earned a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team for his performance in the 2019 season. In 2023, he signed a four-year $68 million contract extension with the Bills.

Oliver played collegiate football for the Houston Cougars, representing the University of Houston from 2016 to 2018. According to the University of Houston’s website, he earned the Outland Trophy and received the AAC Defensive Player of the Year award in 2017. He was also a two-time Consensus All-American in 2017 and 2018 while also securing the Bill Willis Trophy in 2016. Before committing to Houston, Oliver played football for Westfield High School in Houston. He received a five-star recruit rating from ESPN, Rivals, Scout, and 247Sports, and was ranked as the No. 1 defensive tackle in the state of Texas by Scout.
