Evan Engram is an experienced member of the Jacksonville Jaguars and is the team's starting tight end when fit. Since joining the Jaguars, Engram has been one of Trevor Lawrence's most consistent targets.
Let's examine Engram's availability ahead of the Jaguars' Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears.

Evan Engram's injury update
According to CBS 19 News, Evan Engram could return from a lingering hamstring injury to play against the Bears on Sunday in London. Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson confirmed the news to reporters on Monday.

Engram suffered the injury in warmups for the Jaguars' second game of the 2024 NFL season, which the Jaguars lost to the Cleveland Browns.
Speaking about the star tight end's potential comeback, Pederson said:
"He got himself into practice a little bit last week. I anticipate him doing more this week and seeing where he is at the end of the week. But I think the chances of him getting back in here this week are rather high."
Second-year tight end Brenton Strange has taken over the TE1 slot in place of Engram since his hamstring injury. Strange has snagged 12 passes for 120 receiving yards and two TDs in four contests. He has proven to be a solid short-term replacement for the Pro Bowler in the 2024 season.
How has Evan Engram performed this season?
Evan Engram had one catch for 5 receiving yards in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. He hasn't been on the Gridiron since sustaining a hamstring injury during pregame warmups back in Week 2. He has missed four regular-season games this season due to the injury.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been bitterly disappointing in the 2024 season, as they were the last franchise to record a regular-season win. The Jaguars were winless until they secured a close victory over divisional rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, on Sunday. Trevor Lawrence had 371 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Cam Little hit a 49-yard field goal with 17 seconds left to secure the win.
The Jaguars will travel to London for the first of back-to-back overseas games. The first game is against the in-form Chicago Bears led by 2024 NFL Draft No. 1 pick Caleb Williams. The game should be an interesting battle of franchises with postseason aspirations.
