Jayden Daniels has been the talk of the town for the Washington Commanders ahead of their NFC championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The quarterback has impressed many in his rookie season and some believe that his performances have been boosted by VR training.

Daniels discussed his virtual reality training on the “All Facts No Brakes” podcast last year. The quarterback said he wakes up at 6 a.m. to train using a virtual reality set, which helps improve his decision-making skills by simulating real-time game scenarios.

Per reports, the VR technology that Daniels uses is created by a German company. The reality-style simulator gives the Washington QB a unique preparation ahead of the game, which then feels slightly slower in reality.

"It moves faster within the VR than actual human beings," Daniels said about the VR headset. "Once you get out there, everything slows down. I know this is coming. I've seen this before, (and) it moved more than 20 times faster in VR."

Daniels, who started using VR technology during his college days at LSU, tweaks the settings to maximum difficulty to get the best possible training and reaction time. By his admission, the VR training helped Daniels win the Heisman Trophy in his final year with the Tigers.

Daniels has enjoyed a fine rookie season thus far. He led the Commanders to a second-place finish in the NFC East, helping them make the playoffs.

The quarterback then guided Washington to a 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round. Daniels and Co. then took down the Detroit Lions 45-31 in the divisional round.

Now, Daniels has a chance of leading the Commanders to the Super Bowl, but they will face a tough challenge against the Philadelphia Eagles to progress to the next stage of the playoffs.
