The Baltimore Ravens sent a message to the rest of the NFL on Tuesday afternoon, stacking Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson to an already-loaded offense. The Ravens will swap picks with the Panthers, sending a fifth-round pick to Carolina in exchange for a sixth-round pick and Johnson.
As soon as the trade is official, Johnson will likely slot into the WR2 role on the Ravens' depth chart, a role that was formerly occupied by Rashod Bateman.
In Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, Diontae Johnson, Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Nelson Agholor, Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar, Lamar Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Monken have an array of weapons to work with in the second half of the season.

Johnson will have the opportunity to make his Ravens debut when they host the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Exploring Diontae Johnson's salary with the Ravens
Per Spotrac, Johnson is guaranteed $3.8 million in 2024 due to his contract with the Panthers. However, Carolina won't shed all of his salary after the trade.
According to The Athletic's Ravens insider Jeff Zrebiec, the Panthers will pay down most of Johnson's salary, which means the Ravens will just owe him $625,000 for the rest of the year, given we are just about halfway into the season.
AFC teams trigger-happy with moves ahead of NFL trade deadline
We've seen a flurry of big-name moves in the AFC this month. Davante Adams' trade from the Raiders to the Jets kicked things off and the Buffalo Bills followed that up by trading for Amari Cooper, prising him away from the Cleveland Browns.
The Kansas City Chiefs then decided they wouldn't be left behind, trading for then-Tennessee Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins, who made his debut in Week 8 against the Raiders.
Sportskeeda's NFL insider Tony Pauline reports that two more wide receivers could be on their way out of the AFC. The Chargers appear to be open to shipping Joshua Palmer whereas the Denver Broncos could consider offers for Courtland Sutton.
