In 2022, Doug Pederson led the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 9-8 record and a postseason spot after hiring him as their coach in February. On Monday, Jacksonville fired him following a dismal 2024 regular season as the team finished 4-13.
Let's take a look at Pederson's salary with the Jaguars and his net worth.
Doug Pederson's net worth in 2024
Pro Football Network estimates Doug Pederson's net worth in 2024 at $12 million following a 13-year NFL playing career and coaching stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars.

During his time with Jacksonville, Pederson reportedly made $8.5 million a year, making him the 11th highest-paid coach in the NFL.
A good portion of Pederson's 13-year playing career was spent as a backup quarterback with the Green Bay Packers, where he was a part of the squad that won the 1997 Super Bowl. Before hanging up his cleats in 2004, he also played for the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins.
Pederson began his coaching career in 2009 as an assistant for the Philadelphia Eagles. He held the same position for the Kansas City Chiefs before being promoted to offensive coordinator.
He was appointed coach of the Eagles in 2016, a position he held for five seasons, and won the 2018 Super Bowl. Pederson then spent three seasons as the Jaguars' coach, helping them win one playoff game and their first division title.
Why did the Jaguars sack Doug Pederson?
Doug Pederson was the Jacksonville Jaguars' coach for 51 games from 2022 to 2024 and went 22-29. In his first two seasons, he led them to two 9-8 finishes, and in 2022, Jacksonville won the AFC South.
However, the Jags collapsed in the latter part of the 2023 campaign after starting the season at 8-3. They lost five of their last six games and missed the playoffs.
The team's problems from last season continued in 2024, as they only managed four victories despite signing defensive end Arik Armstead, receiver Gabe Davis, and center Mitch Morse in free agency, giving Trevor Lawrence and Josh Hines-Allen big contract extensions and selecting Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round of the 2024 draft.
In November, the Jags lost 52-6 to the Detroit Lions — their biggest losing margin in franchise history. It was only one of the team's numerous poor performances throughout the season, which contributed to Pederson's firing.
