For a while, it looked like the Cincinnati Bengals would slump to a loss against Mike Vrabel's former team, the three-win Tennessee Titans. The Bengals were down by seven after the first quarter, but Joe Burrow and co. picked up the pace in the second, eventually embarrassing Tennessee 37-27.

Will Levis was benched midway through the game in favor of Mason Rudolph, who threw for 209 yards, two touchdowns and three INTs. The loss to the Bengals was the Titans' 11th of the year, igniting questions on the state of the franchise.

One tweet that went viral after the game belonged to username "CoachMikeVrabel." It read:

"The Titans made a mistake firing me."

While many Titans fans assumed that the former coach had tweeted the message, taking a public shot at the franchise, it wasn't made from Vrabel's account, which has the username "CoachVrabel50."

What is Mike Vrabel doing now?

Vrabel was the coach of the Titans for 99 games, winning 54. Vrabel and the Titans parted ways this summer, and the franchise placed rookie coach Brian Callahan at the helm.

Vrabel has since been working with the Cleveland Browns as a coaching and personnel consultant.

Could Mike Vrabel land a head coach job in 2025?

Mike Vrabel will be one of the biggest names in the 2025 coaching carousel after his mentor Bill Belichick signed with the University of North Carolina last week. Vrabel was widely linked with taking over from Belichick, but New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft tapped up Jerod Mayo instead.

Vrabel has been strongly linked with the vacant job with the New York Jets. His former boss, Jon Robinson, is reportedly interviewing with the Jets as well for the general manager job. Robinson was fired as the Titans' GM in December 2022, but it's important to note that Vrabel was hired in Tennessee under Robinson's watch.

The Dallas Cowboys have been mooted as another potential destination for Vrabel, but owner Jerry Jones has made it clear that current coach Mike McCarthy has his complete backing to continue in 2025. It will be a contract year for the Super Bowl-winning coach.
