According to CBS Sports, Troy Andersen won't play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons linebacker has been dealing with a knee injury for quite some time.
Andersen is now set to miss his fourth consecutive game in the 2024 NFL season. Nate Landman will likely get the start in his place.
Justin Simmons' injury update
According to NBC Sports, Justin Simmons is listed as doubtful for today's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The free safety is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Simmons participated only limitedly in Wednesday and Thursday's training sessions but did not practice in Friday's session. This puts his streak of consecutive starts in doubt. He'll be a game-time decision.

According to CBS Sports, star wide receiver Mike Evans will miss today's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Evans re-aggravated a hamstring injury in the Bucs' last game against the Baltimore Ravens.
He's now set to miss the team's next three fixtures against the Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. The perennial Pro Bowler could be back for the Bucs' Week 12 game against the New York Giants.
Tykee Smith's injury update
According to CBS Sports, Tykee Smith won't participate in today's game against the Falcons. The safety has failed to clear the concussion protocol, and he will be unavailable for his side's Week 8 showdown.
Smith suffered the concussion in the Bucs' Week 7 loss against the Baltimore Ravens. He'll likely be replaced in the lineup by Tavierre Thomas.
Greg Gaines' injury update
According to CBS Sports, Greg Gaines will miss today's game against the Falcons. Gaines is dealing with a calf injury and hasn't been able to pass the fitness test.
The defensive lineman appeared on the injury report on Thursday. He did not participate in Friday's session and will now sit out in Week 8.
