The fantasy football Week 8 kicker rankings are vital for managers looking to score extra points in close matchups. Fantasy football rewards a clever selection of productive offensive players, yet kickers can often be the forgotten man in a fantasy team. It may be the last position you think about when constructing your weekly lineup, even below defenses.
With fantasy football games getting closer and closer, a kicker could make all the difference. 2022 has been a fantastic year for the position to this point, with Ryan Succop and Daniel Carlson having been the pick of the position for the first seven weeks. Matchups make all the difference, and before you finalize your fantasy football selection, you just need to assess who the leading kickers are in Week 8.
Who are the best available fantasy football kickers in Week 8?

Justin Tucker has moved up three places to once again be ranked as the best fantasy football kicker in the NFL. Through Week 7 he has scored a total of 73 points and averaged 10.4 points per game.
Once again, he was exceptional in the Baltimore Ravens' win over the Cleveland Browns, making three out of three field goals and both of his extra-point attempts were successful. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were next for the Ravens, who allowed 21 points against the Carolina Panthers. They kicked off Week 8 on Thursday Night Football. Tucker made two out of three field goal attempts and was successful on all three of his point after attempts.
Daniel Carlson – Las Vegas Raiders @ New Orleans Saints

For the second successive week, Daniel Carlson is ranked second amongst NFL kickers for his total number of fantasy football points. His haul is now 72 after the Las Vegas Raiders returned to action in Week 7 after a bye week.
There hasn’t been a better kicker in 2022 through seven weeks, with Carlson averaging 12 fantasy football points per game. Those are staggering numbers for the position and put him right up there with some skill position players this term.
Daniel Carlson is yet to miss a single field goal from 16 attempts, whilst he has missed just one extra-point.
Jason Myers – Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Giants

After seven weeks of the 2022 NFL season, Jason Myers is on the rise in terms of fantasy football points scored as a kicker. Having been an ever-present player for the Seattle Seahawks, he has made 15 of 16 field goals and is second in the league in terms of fantasy football points per game, with 9.0.
Myers has enjoyed a supersonic rise to third place of the fantasy standings, having been ranked as far down as eighth before Week 7. His performance against the Los Angeles Chargers was impressive as he scored 13 points. He was 100% in both field goals and extra points on Sunday.
The New York Giants' defense is mid-ranked in the league so it’s difficult to predict how many chances Myers will get to add to his tally of 71 fantasy points.
Graham Gano – New York Giants @ Seattle Seahawks

Graham Gano is the last of four kickers who have averaged at least 10 fantasy points a game in 2022. The Giants have been on a roll and his kicking has been a significant part of that. Out of the four 50+ yard field goal attempts Gano has made this term, he has completed 100% of them, giving the Giants a renewed ability to score points from long distance.
The Seattle Seahawks have one of the worst rushing defenses in the league, allowing an average of 149.7 rushing yards per game through Week 7. This is the sort of matchup that Saquon Barkley will relish, and could allow Gano a lot of points from both field goals and extra points.
Ahead of Week 8, Gano is a fantasy football points guarantee.
Brett Maher – Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears

Rounding out the top five fantasy football kickers ahead of Week 8 is the Dallas Cowboys’ Brett Maher. Having been third-ranked ahead of Week 7, there has been a slight dip in performance for Maher.
Scoring just six points in the Week 7 victory over the Detroit Lions hasn’t helped Maher’s rise to the top spot. It also represented his second successive week finishing with fewer than eight fantasy points.
The Bears are buoyant after a win over the Patriots in Monday Night Football, but their defense is also weak against the run, but excels against the pass. With doubts over Ezekiel Elliott’s fitness ahead of Week 8, Maher may not be the best selection for fantasy football points. This is compounded by his disappointing recent form.
