In terms of fantasy football, the Denver Broncos will have many assets heading into the 2024 season.

After ending last year with an 8-9 record during their first season with new HC Sean Payton, the Broncos cut ties with both QB Russell Wilson and WR Jerry Jeudy, two mainstays of their offense.

The Broncos will be hoping new additions, as well as guys already in the building stepping up, will propel Denver into the postseason for the first time since 2015 (when they won Super Bowl 50).

That raises the debate as to who will step up and lead the Broncos' offense in 2024 and star as their best fantasy football assets.

Broncos best fantasy assets in 2024

#5 - Bo Nix, QB

The Denver Broncos replaced Russell Wilson with Oregon QB Bo Nix, who they took with the 12th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Nix is in line to start right away, and if he can get the ball rolling early, he can be a solid QB2 for your fantasy football squad.

Nix started five years in college for both Auburn and Oregon, so he has plenty of experience. He displayed his dual-threat ability after rushing for 38 TDs throughout his collegiate career. Fans will be hoping Nix can be moulded into an elite quarterback by Sean Payton, much like he did with Drew Brees.

#4 - Marvin Mims Jr., WR

After the departure of Jerry Jeudy, there's a chance Marvin Mims Jr. will fill the void.

Mims impressed as a rookie in 2023, making the Pro Bowl and was voted All-Pro as a kick returner. Given his last season's performances, he could be due for a larger role in the Broncos offense.

Sean Payton has also been singing the praises of Mims during camp, saying:

"You’re going to see a lot of growth from year 1 to year 2."

Mims is likely to go undrafted in most leagues, but could be a solid waiver wire pickup early in the season.

#3 - Jaleel McLaughlin, RB

An undrafted rookie in 2023, Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin was excellent when presented with opportunities last year.

He was 14th in explosive run rate, fifth in missed tackles forced per attempt, fourth in yards after contact per attempt and fourth in yards per route run among backs with 50 rushing attempts or 20 targets per fantasypros.com.

Despite being in a competitive running back room with Javonte Williams and rookie Audric Estime, should McLaughlin get reps, he will be a solid RB4 with plenty of upside from his ADP of #152 overall.

#2 - Javonte Williams, RB

Despite competition from McLaughlin, Estime and Samaje Perine, Javonte Williams should be the starting back for the Denver Broncos, at least to begin 2024.

Williams was a huge disappointment in 2023 on return from a devastating knee injury, averaging just 3.6 yards per carry versus 4.4 during his rookie campaign in 2021.

His ADP is at #88 overall currently, so if he could return to his 2021 form, it would be a steal, but there's no guarantee as it looked like he'd lost a yard of pace last year.

#1 - Courtland Sutton, WR

With Jerry Jeudy out of the building, there's no debate as to who is the Broncos' WR1. Courtland Sutton is also arguably the Denver Broncos' best fantasy football asset in 2024.

Despite Sutton not having excellent yardage totals in 2023, his 10 touchdowns made him a viable fantasy asset as he ended the year as WR35 in PPR scoring, ahead of players such as Drake London and Cooper Kupp.

With Jeudy gone, Sutton will likely command more targets, and if he can develop a rapport with rookie QB Bo Nix, his ADP of #116 overall could prove to be a bargain in fantasy football realms.
