The Detroit Lions were one of the best teams in the NFL last year, as well as possessing some of the best fantasy football assets the league has to offer. The Lions won the NFC North with a 12-5 record and made it to the NFC Championship before being eliminated by the San Francisco 49ers.

Thankfully for Detroit, they've been able to keep the majority of their squad together as they look to go one further in 2024 and make the Super Bowl. That raises the question as to which fantasy football assets on the Lions' offense can propel them to the next step.

Jared Goff has been a sensation since joining the Lions in the trade that saw Matt Stafford move to the Los Angeles Rams, helping turn the team into a genuine Super Bowl contender.

Goff was QB7 in fantasy football in 2023 after passing for 4,575 yards and 32 touchdowns. As the Lions have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, as well as plenty of weapons on offense, Goff could easily be QB1 for your fantasy squad in 2024. His ADP is #106 overall on Fantasy Pros, so if you wait till the latter rounds for a quarterback, Goff could be a steal at that price.

#4 - David Montgomery, RB

David Montgomery was one of the standout performers on the Lions' offense in 2023, totaling 1,132 yards and 13 touchdowns - the most scores of his career. The veteran back formed an excellent tandem alongside rookie Jahmyr Gibbs, with both backs ending the year inside the top 20 running backs in PPR scoring.

Whilst it's expected Gibbs sees more playing time in 2024, Montgomery should still serve as the Lions' goal-line back. Working behind PFF's ranked first offensive line will only help his cause too.

#3 - Sam LaPorta, TE

The best tight end in fantasy football in 2023 as a rookie, Sam LaPorta is back to defend his crown this year. LaPorta hauled in 86 catches for 889 yards and 10 TDs last season, developing an instant connection with QB Jared Goff.

Despite his expensive price (#27 overall ADP), LaPorta has shown he can flourish in this offense, and there's no reason to bet against him heading into his second NFL season.

#2 - Jahmyr Gibbs, RB

In his first NFL season in 2023, Jahmyr Gibbs ended the year as RB10 in PPR scoring and is aiming for better in 2024. Gibbs played second-fiddle to David Montgomery to begin his rookie year before playing a larger role in the offense down the stretch.

Now heading into the new year he's likely to be the team's RB1 with Montgomery used as a goal line back. Running behind the best offensive line in football (according to PFF), Gibbs should have no trouble creating gaps and displaying his electric speed. His ADP is #13 overall but he has RB1 upside for your fantasy football team.

#1 - Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR

Amon-Ra St. Brown has established himself as one of the very best receivers in the NFL, as well as being an elite fantasy football asset. St. Brown was WR3 in PPR scoring in 2023, behind only CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill after amassing 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and 10 TDs.

Last year he garnished a 30% target share and 34% air yards share in what is a crowded offense, displaying his importance to the team. As well as that, he was handed a four-year $120m contract this offseason making him one of the highest-paid wideouts in NFL history.

St. Brown's current ADP is at #8 overall so not everyone will get a chance to draft the former USC man. However, those who do get a wide receiver with arguably the highest floor, who also has WR1 potential.
