The Washington Commanders, hopinh to improve their dismal 4-13 record from 2023, have revamped the offense, including many fantasy football assets.
The Commanders finished dead last in the NFC West and ended up with the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft after being the second-worst team in the league last year.
Notable departures from Washington include WR Jahan Dotson and QB Sam Howell, who, despite having high hopes, never lived up to expectations in the nation's capital.
The question becomes who will lead the Commanders' offense in 2024 and, in turn, become an elite fantasy football asset.

Commanders' best fantasy assets in 2024
#5 Luke McCaffrey, WR
After news of Jahan Dotson being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, a position has opened up for the Commanders' WR2 slot behind Terry McLaurin on the depth chart.
McCaffrey was drafted in round three of this year's draft out of Rice after initially being recruited to play quarterback in college. He commanded a 30% target share, and the fact that Washington was willing to trade Dotson means he could be primed for a starring role in the offense out of the gate.
His ADP at #251 means he's likely going undrafted in the redraft league, but he could be a bargain.
#4 Austin Ekeler, RB
Few players have had as dramatic of a decline in one year as former Chargers RB Austin Ekeler.
After suffering an ankle sprain in Week 1 last year, he was never fully healthy. When on the field, he could only manage 16 touches and 69 total yards per game, ending as RB26 in PPR fantasy scoring.
He now moves to Washington to form a tandem alongside Brian Robinson Jr. and should be able to be a primarily pass-catching back - his specialty - instead of having to be the bell cow of an offense.
#3 Brian Robinson Jr., RB
Brian Robinson Jr. will likely be the RB1 in Washington in 2024, having earned the right after a solid 2023 season. He was RB21 in PPR scoring after amassing 1,101 yards and nine TDs.
It was as part of a committee running back room alongside Antonio Gibson, so Ekeler's arrival shouldn't change much in terms of production for Robinson. Nevertheless, Ekeler is a better pass-catcher than Gibson, so it may take away some of the upside in that department Robinson displayed in 2023.
Nevertheless, his #92 overall ADP makes him a bargain, as he's likely falling to round nine in most fantasy leagues.
#2 Jayden Daniels, QB
The second overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Jayden Daniels will start right away for the Commanders and has tremendous upside in terms of fantasy football.
Daniels won the Heisman Trophy last year after throwing for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns and rushing for a further 1,134 yards and 10 scores. He also completed a fantastic 72% of his throw during his final campaign at LSU.
Despite being unlikely to replicate these video-game-like numbers in the NFL, Daniels has great rushing potential as a rookie. Given his ADP is #103 overall, he's definitely worth taking a risk on for your fantasy team.
#1 Terry McLaurin, WR
Despite a plethora of quarterbacks during his career, Commanders WR Terry McLaurin has been one of the most consistent at his position in the NFL. McLaurin had topped 1,000 every year of his career other than his rookie season when he totaled 919 yards.
In 2023, McLaurin had 1,002 yards on 79 receptions and four touchdowns, catching passes from Sam Howell. Now he gets an upgrade at quarterback in Jayden Daniels, who's known for his excellent deep ball, something McLaurin has known to be productive with throughout his career.
His ADP is #69 overall, and he's a solid flex option with WR2 potential in fantasy football in 2024.
