Quarterbacks are almost always the highest scoring NFL players during each Fantasy Football season. Their point totals make them crucial within any Fantasy Football lineup as their production can determine which team comes away with a victory.

Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season is the first time this year that bye weeks will play a factor. This makes it even more important to analyze matchups when determining which fantasy quarterback to start. Here are three to target and three others to avoid in Week 6 of the 2022 Fantasy Football season.

Geno Smith - Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals

Geno Smith has been one of the biggest surprises so far during the 2022 NFL season. He enters Week 6 ranked 12th in passing yards and sixth in passing touchdowns. He's made the most of being named the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks following the departure of Russell Wilson.

The Arizona Cardinals are an excellent matchup for Smith in Week 6. They have allowed the 12th most passing yards per game this season. They have also allowed the tenth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks so far.

Daniel Jones - New York Giants vs. Baltimore Ravens

Daniel Jones has failed to throw a touchdown pass for the New York Giants in each of the last three weeks. However, he has scored two rushing touchdowns during that time. He has also recorded at least six carries and 20 rushing yards in every game during the 2022 NFL season, helping his fantasy value.

Jones enters the most ideal matchup possible in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. Their defense has allowed the most passing yards per game this season. They also finished in last place in the same statistic last year.

Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts

Trevor Lawrence got off to a great start to the 2022 Fantasy Football season. He has exceeded 15 points in each of his first three games for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has failed to do so in both of his last two games and will be looking to get back on tract in Week 6.

Lawrence faces a familiar opponent this week when he plays against the Indianapolis Colts. He had one of the best games of his career when he faced off against them in Week 2. He completed 83 percent of his passes with two touchdowns.

Russell Wilson - Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Russell Wilson has been one of the biggest disappointments of the 2022 Fantasy Football season so far. He entered the year with massive expectations in a new Denver Broncos offense loaded with weapons. So far, he has failed to produce big numbers.

Wilson has accounted for multiple touchdowns in just one game entering Week 6, while also recording two games with zero touchdowns. He should be avoided in Fantasy Football until he can find a better rhythm with his new team.

Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams vs. Carolina Panthers

Matthew Stafford was one of the best quarterbacks in the league last year in his first season with his new team. He helped the Los Angeles Rams win a Super Bowl ring while putting up massive passing statistics. The 2022 NFL season hasn't been the same story so far.

Stafford enters Week 6 having recorded one game with multiple touchdowns and two games in with zero. He has also thrown seven interceptions, the most in the NFL through five games.

Marcus Mariota - Atlanta Falcons vs. San Francisco 49ers

Marcus Mariota has been one of the most popular streaming quarterbacks during the 2022 Fantasy Football season. His rushing abilities give him plenty of upside, exceeding 60 rushing yards twice and also totaling two rushing touchdowns.

Week 6 doesn't provide a matchup where Mariota is an attractive streaming option, even with some other quarterbacks on a bye week. The San Francisco 49ers are currently averaging the fewest yards and points allowed per game this season.
