Wide receivers are always the deepest NFL position during each Fantasy Football season. This gives fantasy players a ton of options to plug into the lineup each week. The massive number of options makes it important to analyze which ones are in the most ideal matchups.
A beneficial Fantasy Football strategy for the wide receiver position is to target players in situations where the game script will likely favor more opportunities and targets. This increases the likelihood of higher production. Here are three to target and three others to avoid in Week 6 of the 2022 Fantasy Football season.

Alec Pierce - Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Indianapolis Colts used the 2022 NFL offseason to search for a secondary wide receiver behind Michael Pittman to give Matt Ryan another reliable target in the passing game. After a slow start to the season, it appears rookie Alec Pierce has emerged into that exact role.
Pierce has exceeded 60 receiving yards in each of the last three consecutive games, including two games in a row with, at least, 80 receiving yards. Pierce has also increased his targets and receptions in each of the last four weeks, making him a high upside flex option in Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Adam Thielen - Minnesota Vikings vs. Miami Dolphins
Adam Thielen has been one of the biggest red zone threats for the Minnesota Vikings over the last few seasons. He scored 24 touchdowns combined between the 2019 and 2020 seasons while proving to be a key part of their offensive gameplan.
While Thielen has found the endzone just once during the 2022 NFL season, he is still highly involved in the offense. He has been targeted, at least, seven times in four consecutive games. The Miami Dolphins have allowed the fifth-most passing yards per game this year, so Thielen has a favorable Fantasy Football matchup.
George Pickens - Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
George Pickens got off to a slow start to the 2022 NFL season, but he has really increased his production over the last few weeks. He has now recorded, at least, seven targets in three consecutive games. He has also accounted for six receptions and more than 80 yards in each of the last two games.
Pickens appears to be carving out a larger role for himself within the Pittsburgh Steelers offense, especially now that rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett has been named the starter. The Steelers are likely to be trailing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6, so the game script would suggest many passing plays. This could potentially result in a big day for Pickens.

Drake London - Atlanta Falcons vs. San Francisco 49ers
Drake London has been one of the most impressive rookies so far during the 2022 NFL season. He has also been relatively productive in Fantasy Football, recording, at least, six targets in all five games, despite the Atlanta Falcons' weak offense.
London should be avoided in Fantasy Football Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers stout defense. They are allowing the third-fewest passing yards and the least total points and yards per game this year.
DJ Moore - Carolina Panthers vs. Los Angeles Rams
DJ Moore has been one of the most consistent wide receivers in the NFL over the last three years with the Carolina Panthers prior to the 2022 NFL season. He has exceeded 65 receptions and 1,150 yards in all three of them. With new quarterback Baker Mayfield, his production has dropped, averaging less than 50 yards per game.
Moore faces a difficult challenge in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. He will likely be lined up against superstar defensive back Jalen Ramsey, so he could be in for an unproductive Fantasy Football game.
Elijah Moore - New York Jets vs. Green Bay Packers
Elijah Moore has failed to score a touchdown this season, but is still relatively productive. He has recorded, at least, 40 receiving yards in three of his four games this year. This comes despite being taken over by rookie Garrett Wilson as the top target for Zach Wilson.
Unless Moore scores his first touchdown of the season in Week 6, he's likely in for a tough Fantasy Football performance. He faces off against the Green Bay Packers, who have allowed the second-fewest passing yards per game this season.
