Starting the right quarterback in fantasy football each week can truly be the difference between winning and losing in a particular matchup. They are almost always the highest-scoring position, so picking the wrong one will often result in a failure to optimize linueps. Here are some of the best quarterbacks to target and fade in Week 7 of the 2024 season.

Fantasy Football Week 7 QBs Start 'Em picks

Sam Darnold is having a breakout 2024 fantasy football season in his first year with the Minnesota Vikings. He has finished as the weekly QB13 or better in four of his five games so far and gets a favorable Week 7 matchup against the Detroit Lions. Their rushing defense has been much better than their pass coverage and they recently lost elite edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson to an injury.

Joining Darnold as another breakout quarterback this year has been Baker Mayfield, who impressively ranks as the overall QB2 through the first six weeks of the 2024 season. He has finished among the top seven quarterbacks in five of his six games this year and could be in line for another one this week. He will play in a potential shootout between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Football Week 7 QBs Sit 'Em picks

Aaron Rodgers has been disappointing during the 2024 fantasy football season so far. He currently ranks as just the overall QB17 and has failed to finish inside of the top 10 weekly quarterbacks in any of his six games. Things won't get any easier for him in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Matthew Stafford is another quarterback to fade in Week 7 as he has failed to overcome significant injuries to the Los Angeles Rams' wide receivers. He has yet to turn in a multi-touchdown game this season and shockingly ranks as the overall QB29 through six weeks.
