Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints

On top of having one of the best run defenses in the league, the New Orleans Saints are one of the best teams in defending tight ends.

They have given up on three touchdowns all season to tight ends and only allow an average of five points to the position. Rob Gronkowski is a good player who has been targeted plenty by Tom Brady but avoid starting him in this week's matchup.

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons vs. San Francisco 49ers

Kyle Pitts put up a respectable 61 yards in the Atlanta Falcons last matchup with the Carolina Panthers, but the San Francisco 49ers' defense is even stronger than the Panthers, especially when it comes to defending tight ends.

The 49ers' defense has only surrendered four TDs all season and only averages 4.8 points to tight ends. Pitts might seem like an alluring option this week, but bank on trying to find another tight end to help score some more points.

Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills vs. Carolina Panthers

Something is amiss at the Buffalo Bills camp. Even though Dawson Knox has been a bit of a highly targeted tight end as of late, the Bills are starting to look like the team that might ruin their playoff chances. That being said, the Panthers' defense is good against tight ends, and they have only surrendered five touchdowns all season and only give up an average of 6.9 points per game to the position. Be wary of starting Knox this week, very wary.
