Joe Mixon's injury update

According to CBS Sports, Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon did not participate in Thursday's training session. Mixon is dealing with an ankle issue.

Hence, Mixon will likely need to participate in Friday's training session to give him a chance at playing on Sunday.

Jonathan Taylor's injury update

According to CBS Sports, Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor missed his side's training session on Thursday. That makes it consecutive missed sessions for the former Pro Bowler.

Taylor is dealing with an ankle issue and is considered "day-to-day" ahead of his side's Sunday game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Travis Etienne's injury update

According to CBS Sports, Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne was a limited participant in Thursday's training session. This is his second straight limited participant designated for the week.

Etienne has a shoulder issue, so it's clear that the Jaguars are handling his participation in training with caution.

Ezekiel Elliott's injury update

According to CBS Sports, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was limited at Thursday's practice due to dehydration. Elliot is in his first year back with the Cowboys after a one-year stint with the New England Patriots.

According to the report, dehydration is a short-term concern. However, it'll be important to monitor Elliott's Friday designation to gauge his chances of participating on Sunday.

Kareem Hunt's injury update

According to CBS Sports, Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was limited in Thursday's training session. Hunt is dealing with a shoulder issue.

The former Pro Bowler joined the Chiefs after starting running back Isiah Pacheco suffered a long-term injury (fractured fibula). The role Hunt plays for the rest of the regular season remains to be seen.

Raheem Mostert's injury update

According to CBS Sports, Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert remains limited at practice due to a chest injury. The 2023 Pro Bowler has missed three straight games.

He'll be looking to prove his fitness ahead of a crunch Sunday matchup against the New England Patriots in Week 5.
