Each week of the fantasy football season creates a new set of trade values for all players. Their recent individual performances, outlook for the remainder of the season and relevant injury situations are among the most important factors contributing to a player's trade value. Joe Burrow opened the 2024 season with a disastrous QB29 finish in his first game. He has been quietly excellent since then, totaling seven touchdowns across the past three weeks and ranking among the top ten weekly quarterbacks in all of them. He is a solid buy now in the trade market, as his stock appears to be going up.
Jayden Daniels is also a strong candidate to target in trades ahead of Week 5, as he currently ranks as the overall QB1 this season in total fantasy scoring. He may be expensive to acquire, but his rushing upside and quick development as a prospect make him worth the investment.
Fantasy Football trade value chart - RBs
Jordan Mason has been one of the best overall running backs during the 2024 season, but he makes more sense as a sell candidate ahead of Week 5. It's unclear when Christian McCaffrey will return, but if he does, Mason's trade value will disappear. Managers should cash him in while he is still a valuable asset.
Breece Hall is another potential candidate to sell in fantasy trades this week as his backup, Braelon Allen, continues to earn more touches. Hall was once the unchallenged featured back, but with Allen challenging for a split role, Hall can be flipped for a massive haul.
Fantasy Football trade value chart - WRs
Tyreek Hill has seen his overall production plummet since Tua Tagovailoa went down with another head injury. The superstar wide receiver has failed to exceed 40 receiving yards in all of his past three games. His spot on the trade value chart continues to fall, so it may be time to sell him before that trend continues.
On the other hand, Malik Nabers continues to climb higher on the wide receiver rankings for the fantasy trade value chart this year. He ranks second in receiving yards in the entire NFL entering Week 5 and has the highest target share of any wide receiver. He is an expensive trade asset that appears to be well worth the price tag.
Fantasy Football trade value chart - TEs
Trey McBride is in a class of his own among tight ends on the Week 5 trade value chart. His trade value far exceeds any other option, as his reliable volume and season-long upside make him highly desirable in all formats.
Kyle Pitts is an example of the opposite, as his volume has been inconsistent, and his upside has significantly decreased. He appears to be an afterthought in the passing game, as he currently ranks fourth on his team in total targets. He was also held without a reception last week, so it may be time to move on from him in the fantasy trade market.
