Fred Warner

Federico Anthony Warner is the San Francisco 49er’s linebacker. He wears the jersey number fifty-four for the team. He was admitted into the team in 2018 and has been part of the team ever since. He got chosen by the 49ers in the 2018 NFL draft. He was the 70th overall pick.

Warner, who was born on November 19, 1996, in San Marcos, California, U.S., began his football journey at a young age. He was intrigued by American football at the age of seven, after trying out various other sports. As cited by him and his mother, football assisted in molding his adolescent years and gave him a sense of community during that time. His passion for football was also amplified by his father who was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Warner too, grew like the team even though there were many players of the San Diego Chargers that he looked up to.

He attended Mission Hills High School, and during his time there, Warner excelled as a linebacker on the football team. He earned a starting position in his junior year with the varsity team, standing out as an exceptional outside linebacker. This led to him being honored as the All-San Diego Section Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally, Warner's outstanding performance garnered him a place on the All-California First Team by USA Today, the Cal-Hi Sports All-State First Team, and the prestigious title of Avocado East League Defensive Player of the Year.

After high school, Warner went to the Brigham Youth University. Over his four-year tenure at BYU, Warner served as a three-year starter, accumulating 264 total tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, seven interceptions (two of which were returned for touchdowns), five fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, and 13 pass breakups. Notably, his seven career interceptions place him as the second-highest among linebackers in school history.

He has also achieved quite a lot of accolades and awards in his NFL career. He has been named First-team All-Pro three times in 2020, 2022, and 2023, and has earned Pro Bowl selections three times in 2020, 2022, and 2023.
