Gardner Flint Minshew II is an American football quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL. The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Minshew as the 178th pick in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Minshew set the franchise record for most passing touchdowns (21) by a rookie. After two seasons and 23 appearances, Minshew was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, in exchange for a conditional sixth-round pick in 2021. As a backup to starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, Minshew recorded 1102 passing yards and eight combined touchdowns in nine appearances. Minshew signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts in 2023, where he recorded 3305 passing touchdowns, 18 combined touchdowns and earned Pro Bowl honors. The following season, Minshew signed a two-year $25 million contract with the Raiders, as per Spotrac.

Minshew spent his collegiate career playing for various teams. He has played for Northwest Mississippi CC Rangers, East Carolina Pirates and Washington State Cougars. Before he could start his collegiate career, his first two attempts at the University of Akron and Alabama had failed. After leading the Northwest Mississippi CC 11-1 in the NJCAA, Minshew transferred to East Carolina Pirates in 2016. After serving as a backup to Phillip Nelson during his junior season, Minshew became the starter during the 2017 season and recorded 2140 passing yards and 16 passing touchdowns. For his final year of eligibility, Minshew joined the Washington State Cougars in 2018. He recorded 4776 passing yards and 40 combined touchdowns, earning First-team All-Pac-12, Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award honors.
