What is Geno Smith's jersey number?

Geno Smith wears the jersey number 7 for the Las Vegas Raiders as of March 2025. Smith wore the no. 7 during his rookie year with the Jets until he departed from the team. After his transfer to the New York Giants, Smith wore No.3 and continued to wear the number 3 through the Los Angeles Chargers days as well. It was in 2019 that Smith got his hands on the number 7 when he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. Smith has been wearing the number 7 since then (via Yardbarker).

Smith selected the number 7 in remembrance of his grandmother, who was born on June 7 and died on June 7 during his senior year of college. He played with the number 12 on his back for West Virginia University from 2009 to 2012. Smith wore the number 12 during his time in college, but after he was selected by the Jets, it was no longer available because it had been retired in honor of Broadway Joe Namath (via Yahoo Sports).
