When faced with deciding which player to start in Week 12 of the NFL season—Geno Smith or Tom Brady—some fantasy managers may find themselves in a pickle.

For your teams in Week 12, Geno Smith is a stronger fantasy option than Tom Brady.

After a bye week, Geno Smith will play the Las Vegas Raiders. Over the past four games, he has averaged more than 200 yards per game, and he will go up against a Raiders defense that ranks toward the bottom in several statistics.

Smith's rebirth campaign has effectively carried over to the fantasy football game. He now sits as the QB7 in terms of fantasy points scored as of Week 12.

He should be guaranteed a spot in the starting lineup in Week 12 when the Raiders' 24th-ranked pass defense is in action. Las Vegas has given up the third-most FFPG to quarterbacks this year.

Tom Brady, however, hasn't been scoring many points lately. He will get the chance to rebound against the Cleveland Browns' defense after his bye week.

Geno Smith's stats and fantasy prediction

The Seattle Seahawks are now ranked fifth in terms of points, 11th in terms of yards, and top-10 in terms of passing touchdowns and interceptions.

The Seahawks are fresh off a much-needed bye week. DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett have been afforded more time to recover and will play against the Raiders. Due to this, Geno Smith is an extremely desirable asset for Week 12.

Smith has now thrown at least two touchdowns in four straight games. He also has eight games this season with multiple passing touchdowns.

Tom Brady's stats and fantasy prediction

In his most recent game, a victory over the Seahawks in Germany, Tom Brady was effective but passed much less frequently than usual. It was his lowest since the first victory of the season, and he only succeeded in 22 of his 29 throws. Brady passed for 258 yards and two touchdowns. He and the Buccaneers had a bye in Week 11 and are now ready to go in Week 12.

Brady hasn't thrown for more than one touchdown in a game since Week 4. In that victory against Seattle, the 45-year-old was also intercepted. Following the team's bye in Week 11, Brady will be looking for a strong performance against the Cleveland Browns in Week 12.
