The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a stellar season and are in pole position to win the AFC North. While they have paced their run to the division title to perfection, the tail-end of the race feels tough.

They are to face the, 11-2 Philadelphia Eagles, division rivals Baltimore Ravens, and reigning two-time Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs, before capping off the year against arch-rivals Cincinnati Bengals.

Their four-game gauntlet begins on Sunday with a trip to Philadelphia. Facing the Eagles on the road was already challenging enough. However, the Steelers will have to do it without standout wide receiver George Pickens.

George Pickens injury update: Should I start Steelers WR in Fantasy Football?

The third-year star suffered a hamstring injury in the Steelers' 44-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13 and missed his team's 27-14 win over the Cleveland Browns last Sunday. Pittsburgh hoped that he'd be ready for their road trip to Philadelphia.

However, Pickens did not practice in the week and was ruled out of the Eagles game. Fantasy Football managers that have the Steelers wide receiver on their roster should take him out.

George Pickens stats: How has the WR fared this season?

George Pickens has been the go-to man in the passing game for Pittsburgh. He has been targeted 90 times this season, 40 more than tight end Pat Freiermuth, who's second on that list.

The wide receiver has 55 catches for 850 yards. He leads the Steelers in both categories. He has 380 more receiving yards than Freiermuth, who ranks second on Pittsburgh's receiving yards list with 470.

Despite being the team's best receiver, Pickens has struggled to connect with his quarterbacks in the endzone. He has only three touchdown catches this season, ranking third behind the tight end (5) and wide receiver Calvin Austin (4) for the Steelers.

Despite his lack of touchdown catches, his impact cannot be understated. He's a safety net for quarterback Russell Wilson, who always looks for Pickens on deep throws and third downs. The Steelers coped well with his absence last week against the Browns.

However, the Eagles are a much better team with a strong defense and Pittsburgh could find it tough to move the ball downfield without their star wide receiver. It remains to be seen whether they can pull off the upset win in Philadelphia without Pickens.
