According to Darin Gantt of Profootballtalk.com, the Giants will bring in former Giants back Brandon Jacobs to kick the tires.
RB David Wilson’s fumbling issues have landed him in coach Tom Coughlin’s doghouse for the second year in a row and the team is desperate after losing RB Andre Brown to a broken leg in the preseason.
Jacobs was part of the old ‘running back by committee’ along with Ahmad Bradshaw but fell out of favor with the coaching staff over playing time, however, there’s plenty of time with Wilson warming the bench.

Gantt writes:
‘David Wilson doubled up on his opening week fumble from a year ago and earned a seat next to Tom Coughlin. The Giants clearly need to add at the position, though they also need to make sure Wilson doesn’t’t go in the tank. He’s still a first-round talent, but if they can take a bit of pressure off him while they work on his technique, it could pay off in the short-term and the long.’
