Gisele Bundchen once felt alienated by Tom Brady's inadequate support as a family patriarch

We now know that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen called it quits on their marriage last year after 13 years. In what was a drawn-out process, there were reports that the pair grew apart on Brady's decision to unretire after 40 days at the end of the 2021-22 season.

But going back, that wasn't the only part of the problem for the pair. With Brady being at the top of his game in the NFL, football naturally took precedence over everything else. This even extended to his family, which was where Gisele stepped in to talk to her husband.

Gisele is known for putting her career on hold to be a mother and take care of the house, but she felt that Brady wasn't doing his bit during the football offseason. In a piece by theinsider.com back in 2020, the quarterback detailed the conversation between the two.

He said:

"There was a couple years ago, she didn't feel like I was doing my part for the family. She felt like I would play football all season, and she would take care of the house. And then all of the sudden, a season would end, and I'd be like, 'Great, let me get into all my other business activities. Let me get into my football training.' And she's sitting there going, 'Well, when are you going to do things for the house?'"

Unfortunately, for the pair, being such high-profile figures in their respective fields, the divorce played out in a public forum, which isn't ideal.

The reported reason for the divorce was the NFL icon's un-retirement, which he reportedly agreed on with Gisele. The off-field issues with his wife were clearly on his mind and his football suffered as a result.

Fans could see the veteran QB wasn't "right" and thus it turned out to be true as his relationship troubles spilled over into football.

But now, the pair are reportedly happy as the former QB is now retired and is spending time with his kids and Gisele is free, doing her thing. Sometimes change is the best thing and for the once-power couple, this has proved to be true.
