The Packers and Rams renewed their rivalry in the 2024 season, with each team looking to get a win to put their season on track. Green Bay was 2-2 entering this game and needed a victory to stay in touch with the undefeated Minnesota Vikings. The Rams had an even worse record at 1-3 and knew that avoiding a defeat here would be good not just in terms of results but also in terms of morale.
Both teams had a slow start last season before making the playoffs and they are also two of the youngest rosters in the league. They have two young progressive coaches who like to play a certain way, with the Packers' head coach's brother being the offensive coordinator for the Rams. There were a lot of subplots to consider and this is how the action went down.

Packers vs. Rams game summary
The Packers and the Rams played out a phenomenal game that swung back and forth across the four quarters.
In the first quarter, the teams took some time to feel each other out with both punters called into action on their first drives. On the next drive, though, Jordan Love found his feet and led the team on a 96-yard drive that culminated in a rushing touchdown by Josh Jacobs.
Matthew Stafford then led his team on a drive that began in the first and allowed Los Angeles to equalize in the second quarter. Kyren Williams punched in through the middle to get a touchdown. The match was balanced finely at that point but then disaster struck for Green Bay.
Just before halftime, Jordan Love was nearly tackled in his own endzone for a safety. To avoid that, he threw the ball away on instinct. It landed perfectly in the hands of Jaylen McCollough, who returned it for an easy pick-six. A missed conversion meant that the Rams led 13-7. A field goal before the break meant the Packers trailed 13-10 at the end of the first half.
When the teams emerged for the second period, Xavier McKinney decided he needed to take the game by the scruff of the neck. First, he recovered a fumble on the Rams' opening drive. Tight end Tucker Craft did the rest on the Packers' resulting possession, scoring a 66-yard touchdown.
McKinney then intercepted Matthew Stafford on Los Angeles' next drive. Tucker Kraft was the difference maker again in the ensuing drive for Green Bay as he caught a pass from Jordan Love to score. Suddenly, the Packers were leading the Rams by a score of 24-13.
In the fourth quarter, Demarcus Robinson caught a touchdown reception from Matthew Stafford to bring the score to 24-19 after the end of a long drive with 3:30 remaining. But after a failed two-point conversion, Los Angeles could not score again when they got the ball next. They turned it over on downs to Green Bay within the two-minute warning and Jordan Love kneeled to run down the clock.
